When we confirmed last year that Mini was putting the two-door Paceman concept into production, we stipulated that the car’s name could change before it goes on sale. Now, a source within Mini has told us that a name change is indeed in the cards, and that the car likely will be called Countryman Coupe. The moniker makes sense, given that the concept—the production model will be essentially identical—is basically a two-door Countryman with unique rear-end styling. The Countryman Coupe will debut at this year’s Paris auto show before going on sale next year as a 2013 or 2014 model.
