The Lesance NB S3532-SP from PC Koubou:
The new 15.6 inch notebook from PC Koubou known as the Lesance NB S3532-SP has gone on sale in Japan with a price starting at around $500; this is basic machine offers Intel i3 processors, Graphics 3000 and 1366 x 768 LCD display. It is a basic computer apparently designed for the Japanese entry level market and it shows, there is no built in web camera or Bluetooth either and yet it offers reasonable value in this sector of the market.

The Lesance NB S3532-SP will offer a mid size 15.6 inch glossy colour LCD high definition display with a 1366 × 768 of pixel resolution and surprisingly there is no built in web camera on this model. It is powered by the entry level Intel Core i3 2350M with 2.3 GHz 2 core HT cache 3 MB offering four threads in total and supporting the Intel HM65 Express chipset. While video and graphics will be managed by the Intel high definition Graphics 3000.

The internal memory offers up to 8 GB of RAM with a couple of DIMM slots available. Storage on this notebook comes in with a middle of the road size, 500 GB hard disk drive (HDD). As normal networking is provided by the wireless LAN IEEE 802.11 b/g/n and LAN wired 1000 Base-T Ethernet, but there is no Bluetooth option available. PC Koubou have decided to provide the three standard USB 2.0 ports, an audio port and a display output with the D-Sub and HDMI ports for easy connections to exterior monitors and HD televisions.

Size wise the NB S3532-SP measures 14 to 34 mm (H), 374 mm (W) and 250 mm (D), it will weigh in at 2.4 kilos even with the lithium-ion battery installed that PC Koubou claim should be good for about three hours power while running on the Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system.
The PC Koubou Lesance NB S3532-SP is currently on sale in Japan with a price tag of around $500, it is not known if this model will be available on the global market yet.
