New iPad Comes With Bluetooth 4.0

New iPad Comes With Bluetooth 4.0:
In addition to the high resolution display displayed by the third generation tablet, which frankly deserved a better name than the plain “new iPad”, Apple’s latest release introduced a world’s premiere: it is the first the Bluetooth Smart Ready tablet. This means that the integrated the Bluetooth 4.0 standard offers a low energy consumption. And with this feature, comes a wide array of possibilities.
“The new iPad gives any Bluetooth device, from a static data-collecting sensor to a laptop or mobile phone like the iPhone 4S, the ability to connect, share and distribute information in real-time,”
as the recent Bluetooth SIG press release informs us. With full Apple power behind the new standard, the technology is expected to be widely embraced.

As Apple fans will make the upgrade to the next generation tablet or will be simply seduced into entering the tablet experience at the highest level, the number of Bluetooth 4.0 devices will grow. The users will only wait for the next high-end accessory with features able to match the new iPad, like form keyboards to sensors (like the already existing fitness sensors like the Polar H7 or Wahoo Blue Heart Rate Monitors, Casio G-Shock GB-6900 Smart Watch) ready to send data to the latest iPad, while consuming incredibly little power.
Now, analysts realized that Bluetooth devices are sold every second, which means that currently there are roughly 7 billion Bluetooth currently on the market. The new standard has a limited availability, so far. The first Bluetooth Smart Ready smartphones were iPhone 4S and Motorola Droid Razr and now, the latest iPad joined this selective club. Analysts expect the Windows 8 PCs and tablets to integrate the upgraded Bluetooth standard.
In addition to the high speed transfer data and the low power consumption, Bluetooth 4.0 offers a high level of encryption. “Data coming from Bluetooth Smart peripherals feature military grade 128-bit AES encryption,” explains the company behind the new technology.
