There are a few mobile games that have grown to become worldwide phenomenons. Almost everyone with a smartphone has heard of and at least once played Angry Birds. The popular physics based game developed by Rovio has been downloaded over 200 million times around the globe. An upcoming game development company called iMangi Studios is well known for it’s popular game Temple Run. This particular game is loved by iPhone, iPad and iPod touch owners around the globe. The developers have finally released Temple Run for Android, which is now available for download via the Google Play Store.
Temple Run has a huge fan following. It was initially launched only for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch in the iTunes App Store. Needless to say within a short span of time, Temple Run topped the App Store charts and became one of the most downloaded games for iOS devices around the world. The developers have beautifully designed this game, which is just one of the reasons why Temple Run is so addictive and hard to put down.
The premise of this game is very simple. The player has to control a character that is trying to make it’s way out of a temple which is in ruins, by running along it’s walls. Since the character has stolen a cursed idol from the temple, it is being chased by evil demon monkeys which are guardians of the temple. The player must manoeuvre their character through a series of tight corners, flaming barriers and archways. Gold coins need to be collected along the way so that powerups can be purchased.
As I have previously mentioned, the game runs beautifully on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. iMangi Studios has made sure that the same level of gameplay is provided to Android users, who can now download Temple Run from Google Play Store. Nothing has been added or removed in the Android version of Temple Run. It’s exactly similar to it’s iOS counterpart. You can download Temple Run for Android right now from the Google Play Store. It requires Android version 2.1 or higher. The game itself is available for free.
Android owners who have not even heard of this game before, I urge you to try Temple Run for Android. This game is nothing short of amazing. It’s fun to play. Let me assure you, it’s hard to put down primarily because there’s no end to this game as Temple Run has endless running.

Great game. Fun to play and a challenge. Have some lag issues on my Samsung Charge but works greatnon my Acer A500 tablet.
