Eurocom release a Monster:
If you are going to grab the attention of the consumer, what better way would there be than to call your latest laptop the Monster? Well that is exactly what the Canadian computer company Eurocom has done with their latest addition to their range of computers. Therefore, with a name like the Monster we are expecting this machine to be massive, full of high ends specs and generally look like it is going to have all other laptops for lunch!
However the Monster 1.0 comes with a disappointingly small 11.6 inch (29.46cm) HD 16:9 LED Back lit display with a 1366 x 768 of pixel resolutions and there is a built in 1.3 mega pixel PC Camera. When it comes to the power behind the Monster there is a wide choice from the Intel Mobile Sandy Bridge or Ivy Bridge processors offering 32nm or 22nm, the i3, i5 or the i7 with up to 6 MB L3 and up to 2.90 GHz.

While graphics come from the NVIDIA GT650M; Optimus v1.2 with 2 GB of DDR3 and for internal memory there is the up to 16 GB of DDR3-1333/1600, 204-pin SODIMM available, up to 1 TB of SATA3 hard disk drive (HDD) and there is a large 9 in 1 Card Reader for portable storage.

Getting onto the internet there is the 802.11 a/b/g/n and for connecting to other devices there is Bluetooth available. Connectivity from one standard USB 2.0 port and two fast connecting USB 3.0 ports, as well as the essential HDMI and VGA out are available for connecting the laptop to an HDTV.

When it comes to size, you think that the Monster is big, but is measures just 287 mm x 207 mm x 12.7 to 37.1 mm (11.48 inch x 8.28 inch x 0.51 inch to 1.48 inch and weighs in at just 1.8 kilos (3.96 lbs) despite having the 6 cell 62.16 WH Smart Li-Ion battery installed that Eurocom say can offer the user up to 6.8 hours power.
The Monster 1.0 from Eurocom is available now with starting price tag of around $820
