New Aspire V3 from Acer in Japan:
A new range of laptops from Acer has been launched in Japan, the range is called the V series and at the moment, the only model to surface is the Aspire V3-571-H78F! This is 15.6 inch laptop, powered by the latest Intel Ivy Bridge processors, with HD and Blu-ray, but the screen only has a resolution of 1366 × 768, which for some consumers might be an issue, especially as the other big brands will launch laptop powered by the new Ivy Bridge processors very soon.

The Aspire V3 offers a nice sized 15.6 inch LED back lit display with a disappointing 1366 × 768 of pixel resolutions and there is a built in 1.3 mega pixel web camera. It will be powered by the third generation 2.1 GHz Intel Core i7-3612QM quad-core processor this is a new chip from the Ivy Bridge family of Intel Core i processors and the graphics will be coming from the Intel HD 4000 graphics card.

However, this is an entertainment machine and as such attention to detail is higher with these specs, such as the Blu-ray playback only CD & DVD SuperMulti drive, the useful HDMI and VGA for video output and the Dolby Home Theater v4 double stereo speakers system.

This is a useful 8 GB of DDR3 RAM and the 750 GB hard disk drive (HDD) is not too bad either. While for networking there is the Ethernet LAN, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and of course, the always handy Bluetooth 4.0. When it comes to connectivity, there are there superfast USB 3.0 ports as well as the standard USB 2.0 ports. Finally, there is the 6 cell battery pack that Acer say should give the user up to five hours of power from a single charge.
The Acer Aspire V3 is currently on sale in Japan with a starting price of around $1,100.
