New iPhone Body Might Have A Liquid Metal Enclosure

New iPhone Body Might Have A Liquid Metal Enclosure:
As Samsung gears up to launch Galaxy S III on May 3rd, Apple fans are anxiously waiting for Cupertino’s next iPhone. A lot has been said and heard about this device. A new rumour has cropped up today which claims that the next iPhone will have a liquid metal body enclosure. It has been obvious for quite some time that the next iPhone will have a redesigned body, a one completely different from that of iPhone 4 / iPhone 4S.

Once Apple got over with the New iPad release in March, the focus of rumour mill shifted towards Apple’s sixth generation iPhone. Apple released iPhone 4S last year in October. Before the release, it was expected that Apple will release a revamped iPhone 5 with an all new design and improved hardware. However that did not happen, the company shelved those plans and released a slightly modified version of iPhone 4 and called it the iPhone 4S. This iPhone is exactly similar in design to it’s predecessor, but comes with an 8 megapixel camera, A5X processor and Siri voice assistant.
The fourth and fifth generation iPhone both have glass based form factor. Some users have criticized Apple choice of opting for glass front and back panels, as glass tends to be a delicate material. It was rumoured last year as well that Apple might deviate from it’s glass obsession, but since it released iPhone 4S, the rumour has come up again and seems like a possibility for the next generation iPhone.
It should be noted that Apple already has acquired intellectual property rights for liquid metal technology. They have utilized it in the product of iPhones, but it’s use has been limited to the SIM card tray ejector tool. Using liquid metal as enclosure would make the device thinner and much more resistant to scratches, bumps and corrosion. The liquid metal is most likely going to be copper, titanium, zirconium or nickel. This metal alloy will also be easier to manufacture for Apple.
Another new rumour claims that Apple will announce the device at Worldwide Developers Conference 2012. Apple has unveiled previous iPhones at this event, but according to my sources the company will stick to it’s yearly product release cycles. This means that the next iPhone will be released in Fall 2012, probably in October. The next iPhone is also rumoured to have a quadcore A6 processor, at least 1GB of RAM, a better camera and battery apart from other improved hardware.
