Having a laptop simply for gaming might seem a little bit extravagant to say the very least, but the folks over at Origin PC might disagree with that especially as they have launched a high spec laptop aimed at gamers and with a starting price under $1000!
Naturally the base version of this laptop is not going to be all gamers first choice, but there is a whole host of features and options to choose from to make the machine more suitable to their gaming requirements, obviously this is going to push the price up, but never the less this is an affordable gaming laptop still.

The Origin PC EON 11-S gaming laptop comes with an 11.6 inch high definition 16:9 Aspect Ratio display with a 1366 x 768 of pixel resolutions and comes with a 1.3 mega pixel web camera and microphone built into the frame. There will be a choice of processor from the Intel Pentium B960 Processor (32nm, 2.20 GHz, 2MB L3 cache) or the buyer can opt for either the Core i5-2520M or the i7-3612QM processor. Depending on the processor chosen there is a choice of graphics cards too, from the Intel HD Graphics or the NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M.

With up to 16 GB of DDR3 1333MHz or 1600MHz there are plenty of memory options to choose from. the can be said when it comes to storage with up to 1 TB at 5,400 RPM hard disk drive (HDD) or up to 512 GB solid state drive (SSD) available, alternatively the buyer can go for an up to 500 GB Hybrid 7200 RPM version.

Built-in networking features include the 10/100/1000 Mb Base TX Ethernet LAN, wireless LAN 802.11 B/G/N with Bluetooth v4.0+LE Combo. Other features include two USB 3.0 ports, a single USB 2.0 powered USB port, HDMI 1.4a output port with HDCP and a built-In 9 in 1 Media Card Reader.
The whole thing measures at 0.5 inches to 1.4 inches (H) x 11.2 inches (W) x 8.1 inches (D), weighs in at 3.9 lbs with the 6 cell Smart Lithium-Ion battery pack 62.16 WH installed that Origin PC say should be good for up to seven hours of use, but we suspect probably not seven hours of gaming!
