A leaked Samsung Galaxy S III service manual has cropped up online. This manual reveals final images and specifications of this device. Samsung is gearing up to launch it’s next flagship Android powered smartphone on May 3rd in London. The Korean manufacturer expects the event to be of Olympian proportions, however that remains to be seen. There have been several information leaks about this device however this one is particularly interesting.
In the months prior to official announcement from Samsung, an alleged Galaxy S III press shot was leaked. This image pegged release date at May 22, while showing aesthetics of the device. This leak was close enough, as the announcement is taking place in London and in May, just not on the date it touts. Later that week another image of Galaxy S III leaked, however it was soon passed off by many as a fake. Only a few days back, a video from Vietnam come up online in which an allegedly leaked Galaxy S III prototype was shown off.
The legitimacy of this leaked Galaxy S III service manual can obviously be questioned. Folks over at SamMobile.com claim to have received these shots from an insider. These shots depict certain pages of the official Galaxy S III service manual and reveal product sketches as well as the finer details regarding specifications. Since last minute product information leaks have a higher chance of turning out to be true, let’s see what these images have to say.
It should be noted that there a lot of conflicts between specification rumours and the specifications listed in the image. For example a 4.7 inch display and 12 megapixel back camera have been confirmed by Amazon Germany, but this manual indicates that the display is going to be of 4.8 inches and the back camera of 8 megapixels.
Moreover Samsung today revealed it’s Exynos 1.4 GHz quad-core processor officially. This processor is said to have been manufactured primarily for Galaxy S III. However this image claims the processor will be a 1.5 GHz quad-core one. There’s no major difference, yet it leaves behind bouts of confusion.
May 3rd is less than a week away. I’m quite sure millions of people around the world are anxiously waiting for Samsung Unpacked Event 2012. The Galaxy S III holds immense value for Samsung, as this device will be the successor to Samsung’s insanely popular Galaxy S II smartphone. It will be officially revealed at the event when this product will be ready for shipment. I for one, can not wait at all.
