It could be according to speculation in various European and UK newspapers.
According to the gossip, F1 supremo, Bernie Ecclestone is in early talks to hold a grand prix in New Jersey in 2013, possibly along the banks of the Hudson River with New York’s famous skyline providing a dramatic backdrop. This will be in addition to the race in Austin, Texas.
Investors led by TV executive, Leo Hindery Jr., are in preliminary discussions with the mayors of Weehawken, Richard Turner and West New York, Felix Roque who are quoted as saying that “our own Formula One race could be a very positive boost to our citizens.”
But they also emphasized that “no tax dollars” would be used and that compensation would come from the investors.
