TeamViewer Updated for Apple’s Lion OS

TeamViewer Updated for Apple’s Lion OS: "

TeamViewer is an app that . . . you know what, I’ll just let them tell it:

With TeamViewer you can remotely control any computer as if you were sitting right in front of it – even through firewalls. All you have to do is start a small application, which does not even require installation or administrative rights. You can also share your computer with others – whether for IT support or for collaborating on a project.

The folks at the TeamViewer, um, team have been quick off the mark to update their software to run on Apple’s new OS, Lion. (It seems like I just upgraded a few months ago to Snow Leopard . . . wait, I did!) So if you availed yourself of their free (yup) software, and have bit the bullet and upgraded your Mac to Lion, you should surf on over to their web site and upgrade ASAP, don’t you think?

Full information below.

TeamViewer, one of the world’s most popular providers of remote control and online presentation software, today announced software updates for TeamViewer for Mac and TeamViewer Host for Mac, making them fully compatible with Apple’s new operating system, OS X 10.7, also known as Lion.

“TeamViewer is truly cross-platform and provides remote access for PC, Linux, Android™, Mac and iOS devices,” said Holger Felgner, General Manager of TeamViewer. “Our customers expect us to keep pace with the market and we do, ensuring our solutions support the most current operating systems on the market today. The latest TeamViewer for Mac update ensures that users of Apple’s Mac OS X Lion benefit from seamless remote access to other computers, and the freedom to work within the operating system of their choice.”

TeamViewer for Mac is a cross-platform software solution that provides 24/7 remote access from a Mac computer to other Mac, Linux or Windows computers. In Addition, having TeamViewer for Mac or TeamViewer Host for Mac running allows users to access their Mac even while on the road with iOS or Android devices.

These new updates will allow Mac users who have already upgraded to Apple’s Mac OS X Lion to continue to remotely access all their documents and applications via TeamViewer.
