BMW has dropped its latest teaser for the upcoming i brand in the form of a YouTube trailer simply titled Born Electric. Featuring the i3 and i8 concepts, BMW is letting the world know that premium electric cars can be fun to drive and sustainable by design. You’ll recognize both concepts from Shaun Bailey’s recent article on RoadandTrack.com – the i3 Concept, previously known as the Megacity Vehicle, is BMW’s first series-produced pure EV, while the i8 is an all-wheel-drive hybrid that revamps the 2009 Vision concept and is being touted by BMW as a “new-generation sports car.”
A cool fact about the BMW i trailer: The music was created by Hollywood composer and Golden Globe nominee Abel Korzeniowski. Better yet, it was recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London with a full orchestra.
