Just weeks after Sebastian Vettel clinched the F1 title for the second successive year, Infiniti has confirmed that its special Sebastian Vettel inspired 420PS version of its crossover with a 300Km/ top speed will go into production for 2012.

First seen at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show, Infiniti Executive Vice President, Andy Palmer said the FX Sebastian Vettel version is “…all about our equivalent to Mercedes’ AMG or BMW’s M-cars. We wanted to test the organisation to see if it could cope with this type of tuned version and this demonstrates we are able to do low volume specials.”

Red Bull’s involvement with the car included developing a special high down force aerodynamic package.

Further details will be announced later.
