MSI have once again launched a new G series gaming laptop just before the CES 2012 in Las Vegas opens its doors at the end of the month! They have put a lot of effect into this machine with a full HD 1080p display, a standard quad core Intel Core i7 mobile processor and the NVIDIA GTX 580M GPU graphics card, this is a machine designed with the gamer in mind and it shows with these specs.
This interesting MSI gamers laptop will have a 15.6 inch full HD 1080p LED back lit display with a 1920 × 1080 of pixel resolution and a built in HD 30fps @720p web camera. The GT685 will be powered by the Intel Core i7 Processor with 6M Cache and 2.00 GHz, while the graphics will comes from the much desired Nvidia GeForce GTX 580M with 2 GB of GDDR5. MSI have included the HDMI and VGA ports for easy viewing on larger monitors.
It will support up to 32 GB of DDR3 memory, the buyer will need to choose and there is a wide range of storage too; such as the 1.5 TB, 1 TB or the 640 GB @ 7200rpm hard disk drive (HDD) or there is the option to go with a lighter and slimmer, Intel solid state drive (SSD).
Other features will include a couple of superfast USB 3.0 ports, 2 x standard USB 2.0 ports, 1 x eSATA, as well the SD (XC/HC), MMC, MS (PRO) and an xD card reader. There is a nine Cell Li-Ion (7800 mAH) Battery installed with MSI’s i-Charger technology. The laptop measures up at 395 mm x 267 mm x 55 mm (W x D x H) and weighs in at 3.5 Kg including the Battery pack.
Although the pricing and availability have not been released yet, we are thinking that this machine will come with a starting price tag of around $1500
