One of the anticipated computer launches of 2011 will not actually be taking place after all. For Razer have announced that the Blade, that cool gamers machine with a 17.3 inch display, Intel i7 processor, fast boot up and ten fancy buttons to programme as hotkeys, will not be hitting the retail outlets until next year! Sure, it could be January, but we are not counting it just yet.
So just to show what buyers of this machine are waiting, here is what the Razer Blade is made of, it comes with a 17.3 inch full high definition LED Back lit at 16:9 Ratio with a 1920 x 1080 of pixel resolution
Intel Core i7 Processor Dual Core w/ Hyper Threading 64 Bit with CPU: 2.8 GHz (Base) to 3.5 GHz (Turbo). While as expected, the graphics will be handled by an Integrated Intel GMA high definition Mobile Mode NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M graphics card with 2 GB of DDR5 VRAM Using NVIDIA Optimus Technology.
It comes with a massive 8 GB Dual Channel of DDR3 RAM at 1333 MHz and a small and light storage solution with the 256 GB SATA III solid state drive (SSD) w/ TRIM Support, this replaces the original 320 GB hard disk drive (HDD) that was planned for this machine.
Communications come in the form of the Gigabit Ethernet Port, Integrated Intel Wi-Fi 802.11 B/G/N and Integrated Bluetooth 3.0. The size and weight of this big machine are as follows; width: 16.81 inches (42.7 cm), depth: 10.90 inches (27.7 cm) and height: 0.88 inches (2.24 cm). It has a weight of 6.6 pounds (3.0 kg)
There is an Integrated 60 Wh battery and it will be running the Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit Operating System.
Prices are expected to be in the range of $2,800 to start with, so that means it is going to end up higher!
