If there is one thing that will get some consumers going, its limited edition and Samsung have done just that with the series 9 laptop. They have produced just three hundred units of this special design in Moonlight Blue and Rose Gold. There is a special crystal design piece of artwork to be found on the lid and the buyer will also be given a special J. Estina necklace too.
The Samsung Series 9 Special Edition Notebook has a 13.3 inch active matrix TFT colour LCD, LED back lit display with a 1366 x 768 of pixel resolutions and it comes with a built in 1.3 mega pixel high definition web camera.
It is powered by the middle version of the Intel Core processor range the i5-2537M 1.40 GHz, L2 cache 2 x 256 KB and the clear crisp video is provided through the Intel Graphics HD 3000 card. There is an average 4 GB of DDR3 RAM 1066 MHz and to make it light there is a 128 GB solid state drive (SSD) installed, so no hard drive here.
For networking, Samsung have chosen the 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and there is Bluetooth for local connections too. Connectivity is through the 1 x super fast USB 3.0, 1 x standard USB 2.0 and they have gone for a Mini HDMI port to seamlessly connect to larger screened devices.
The 6 cell lithium-ion battery is supposed to be good for up to 7 hours according to Samsung, while running the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system. As for the size, it measures 12.90 inch x 8.90 inch x 0.64 inch (327.66 mm x 226.06 mm x 16.25 mm) and it weighs in at a manageable 2.88 pounds (1.30 kg).
As for the price, this laptop will have a starting price of just over $2,500!
