EICMA 2011: MV Agusta F3 675, ready for the revolution

MV is ready. The first F3 are materializing in the assembly line as early as next December and the lucky ones can collect the first samples of the series GOLD. For the standard version, however, must wait 30 days more, the distribution will begin in January 2012.

The F3 will bring a burst of innovation in the sports segment of medium-sized. In a very few days we can admire it in all its glory in the spotlight of EICMA, but for the moment satisfied with photos and technical data.

The three-cylinder engine of the F3 is the first mid-size to use a full electronic ride-by-Wire (4 different maps, one of which is customizable, and an advanced traction control system with 8 levels). It’s called MVICS and its functions can be implemented with a series of optional designer MV Agusta Special Parts, such as the tilt sensor, able to read all the parameters of the structure of the vehicle, the launch control, anti-wheeling and electronic shift system assisted EAS (Electronically Assisted Shift).

An engine incredibly compact-square (bore and stroke 79 mm x 45.9 mm), with a tree counter that will improve the dynamic balance of the vehicle and, therefore, handling changes in direction. Solution until now only used on MotoGP prototypes.

So much technology, so, for results that speak for themselves: 128 hp at 14,500 rpm / min and a torque of 71 Nm to 10,600 rev / min, with a stretch worthy of a four-line, since the limiter intervenes over 15,000 revolutions / minutes.

The whole is enclosed in a compact chassis that measures by: the distance is only 1,380 mm while the weight does not exceed 173 kg.

The F3 standard, the more attractive by the general public, will be available in 3 colors (red / silver, black and white pastel pastel / charcoal metallic) at a price of 11,990 euros.
