Harley-Davidson motorcycles 308 000 calls

Harley-Davidson has announced it is recalling 308,474 motorcycles and trikes. According to the administration of U.S. national road safety, the switch on the rear brake can be exposed to excessive heat from the exhaust.

If this happens, the rear brake light may fail to illuminate. It is also possible that the rear braking system coli the liquid, causing a failure in the brake itself. Harley-Davidson will replace the brake light switch.

The recall covers 25 different models of Harley-Davidson products between 2009 and 2011. In the U.S., 250,000 motorcycles were sold while the remaining 50,000 were sold elsewhere. Reuters reports that the call will probably cost at ‘Harley-Davidson 10 to $ 12 million.
