Husqvarna 900 105 hp: easy to ride, precise, fun

After 82 world titles between supermoto and enduro, made its debut in the world of Husqvarna motorcycles designed for travel only on asphalt with the Naked 900, the first of a series of road bikes in the near future that will complement the offer of the house for some time subsidiary of BMW.

First bike born from the synergy with the German engineering department, the all-new twin-cylinder has been developed on the basis of the BMW F 800 series, with the intention of creating a vehicle with the dynamism of a motorcyclist who was able to overcome the inherent limitations in terms of comfort, load capacity and the possibility of transporting passengers.

Also why the Naked is available in two versions: the R, which was mainly preoccupied with the pleasure of driving (adjustable suspension, Brembo brakes with monobloc calipers, short reports), and the base, even the most devoted to travel because of the two saddle broader plans, and low footrests for the passenger with the ability to mount a small expandable windshield and saddlebags.

With a data sheet that talks about 174 pounds dry (195 in running order, including petrol) and the painstaking work done by the technicians to centralize mass and lower as much as possible, was to be expected that one of the most remarkable features of Bare was the handling.

And indeed so, since the bike is easy to drive, handy, fun and quite accurate in designing the trajectories, despite a base set far too soft, which gives rise to some annoying load transfer during braking.

But the best thing is the engine of the nude, while coming from the “two line” BMW, is almost unprecedented and shows off a great character at all speeds. It delivers the beauty of 105 horses at 8,500 rpm (+20 hp than the BMW), but above all the provision and regular forced to conquer: the gas in any solicitation Nude snaps forward with vehemence, saw that 95% of maximum torque of 100 Nm is already available at 6000 rpm.

Better yet, the R version, more brilliant acceleration and curves thanks to the relations between the courts and suspension adjustability.

The Naked Husqvarna 900, already available for pre-booking on the internet, will be delivered in late 2011 the price for Naked 9,990 and 11,590 for the version of R.
